3800 supercharged swap

I am looking at purchasing a 01 Tek with a bad engine to use as a project Aztek. I am wanting to swap a 3800 supercharged into it. I've been researching the swap, and have found out that I may have issues with the fact that the Aztek I'm getting is a AWD model. What all is needed to make it work, or to disable the AWD?

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm having a hard time finding out what they did for the PCM, axles other issues before I dive into attempting the swap into one of my Azteks.

Look through this site. I know for sure someone swapped a 3.8SC engine in their Aztek, if not two ppl, and I believe they said they used a FWD version. They went into complete detail as to how and what was needed for the swap.

The problem comes about that the 4T65E-AWD is not a 4T65-EHD. Ive always wondered if you could just use the HD components and rebuild the tranny to HD AWD.
