I would try some Spray upholstery cleaner that you rub in and vacuum out. I dont know if its still true but i always read not to ge tthe headliner too wet or it messes the glue up.

Go to Wall Mart and get the Tuff Stuff Spray uphosltery cleaner. I had grease and oil on my headliner after doing the Rear Radio control install job and was pissed to no end. The Tuff Stuff cleaned it better than it was when I got the Tek. Item of note: The Scrubby head is part of the cap on the Tuff Stuff can, comes off. Yes it has a hole in it, but Pull it off, spray and lightly scrub with the brush part. Also I never had to vacuum after using the Tuff Stuff, I just wiped it down with a clean rag. WARNING: When your done with the roof, you'll want to do the floors too.

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have a good recommendation on a product to use on the beige headliner for dirt?
Thanks!
Spary upholstery foam may work for ya, though it got a little streaky on me. Ended up using an "extractor," (e.g., The Green Machine) that shoots some water out and then sucks it back up. Not a job for the timid. And if you do it, you'll definitely want to do it when begining a annual or semi-annual cleaning because water, dirty, soapy, or otherwise tends to end up on windows, seats, and the floor. Jetaway

I think I'm going to try the Tuff Stuff this weekend, if I can get around to it. I'm always looking for excuses to take pictures, so I will if when I do it. Roxanne's headliner is a little dirty! I only wish there was a magic eraser for cigarette burns  Although that's not a biggie for me, being a smoker...

I'm a smoker too, and I'd cut my hand off if I got a burn in my headliner. I've had the butt come back in the window a few times and managed to get 2 burns in the carpet, but they're barely noticable unless you know where they are and are looking. Plus, they're under a floormat so I can live with those. Headliner or seat...I'd be a little less happy bout that. But I did notice your pack of smokes in your picture gallery. I never thought of using that compartment, and I must say, I tried it out and like it much better. I always kept mine under the radio
