Had another member ask me for the info recently. Never got back to me if it was still good or not. But as bad as I am about losing stuff, I'm just gonna post the info.
Now, keep in mind this was awhile ago but the info my body shop gave me is
Digital Dash Solutions (860) 583-0629 140 Frederick St Bristol Conn 06010
Says there's a 1 day turnaround
Cost me about $100 for my gauge cluster

On average, about how much dose a dealer want for fixing a burnt out speedometer? Mine Just started to go out. It's an 02 with 78000 on it, but I bough the Power train till 100000 when I bough it last month.

If you bought it last month I would ask them about replacing it. I would imagine that since you went the extra for the warranty then they might bend to fix the spedo. It wouldnt hurt to ask. I see spedos on ebay for around 50 to 100 bucks pretty frequently.

My odometer backlighting just went out. Are the backlighting bulbs replaceable (removable) or are they soldered in. Are they accessable from behind the cluster when it is removed? Thanks :us:

Yes they are sodered in and the lil bulbs are kinda hard to find let alone you have to tear the entire dash apart to get to them.

Well, my lighting is going to hell. :banghead: drivers window lights out, dull right half of speedometer, and no AC lights.
How much would a dealer charge to relamp the instrument panel

The GM dealership won't relamp it, but rather sell you a new one. Check the site as there was someone here that did send their IP away and did have it re-lamped with LED's

So I feel somewhat confident about doing this myself, I just have one question. Anyone figure out what kind of lights or light/resistor combo to use?

So it looks like the '03 lists the L194, L168, and 194LL for "Instrument Panel Light Bulbs". The '02 only lists the L168. They all look identical in size, although I'm more inclined to get the L168. The reason I'm iffy is they all look to be different colors, and they're all different prices. Also, the 194LL says it's "longer life". Very expensive for that one, but it may be worth it seeing as how the instrument panel lights seem to go out in every vehicle.
Does the color of the LED matter? Or are the colors you see on the front just because of the color of the plastic the light is shining onto?
