10 days ago, I ended a 6-day road trip from South Texas to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and I must say, that after my horrible trip from Upper Michigan to Texas in May, my return trip was exponentially better.

From just west of Austin to Houston, Kansas City, Chicago, Detroit, and the shores of Lake Superior took me six days (overnight in Houston, 2 nights in KC, and 2 nights in Detroit). I was pleased. I had all of my stuff for college and my new apartment loaded up inside "Bumble" (my Bright Yellow w/ Black Cladding 2001 Aztek) and still managed an average of 355 miles per tank of gas, and with gas at $3.70 and higher the whole way, I was very happy!

I can't wait until November when I take my Thanksgiving Break camping/road-trip from Marquette to Montreal. It promises to be exciting!

Also, there will be road trips to Alaska in Bumble in May (Detroit to all over Alaska and back), before I hang up the keys to run away to Australia for 5 months to study.

I can't wait for all the fun!

Oh man, next time in KC let the club know! There are a few of us around the city.

Glad to hear the trip was good - best of luck with your classes!
