2003 in Electric Blue

« on: March 23, 2010, 01:23:52 PM »

Well, had the first family road trip since I got my Tek in October - it was March Break up here in Toronto last week and we had the use of a cottage for the week, so we loaded up the 2 kids and headed north. I LOVE MY TEK!!!!! What a great vehicle for a family road trip = swallowed up everything we needed for a week with room to spare, tied the bikes down on the roof and off we went. I can't wait to go camping this summer - what a huge improvement over my recently departed Subaru wagon.

Best Tek moment of the week - sitting on the tailgate having a cold beer while barbecuing the steaks in the cottage driveway  That, and discovering that even with the hatch closed, the spoiler makes a great beverage shelf too! My son took some pics, so I'll post a couple but the whole family declared it's the best roadtrip vehicle EVER!

Hell yeah!  I took my Tek on a roadtrip back in November to Cleveland with a buddy of mine.  It was the best roadtrip I have ever been on! Wink :ca: :us:

Congrats on your first Road Trip.   Grin  The tek is FANTASTIC for hauling stuff.  Over the time I had mine, I used it for camping, hauling cabinets when I was remodeling, sheets of drywall, 2 dogs,,,you name it...it could handle it.  The tek's drive so nicely too which make it ideal for road trips.  AAAAhhh...I miss mine....I need to get another... Try clicking on the words "Additional Options..." to the right of the triangle. It is a link (with no underline that opens the options). If it doesn't show, it could be your post count... and a feature that opens with "X" number of posts/membership level. SCUBA would know that better.

Thanks Knight! I thought that might be it - no worries, a paid membership is coming, gonna send SCUBA the cash in the next week or so, so I'll post pics then!
