Hello 2017 Aztek Fans,

I see that this community is a little smaller than in years past, hopefully a few people will see my message.

I recently acquired a 2001 Aztek. She is a brown AWD beauty. I got her from a Copart Salvage yard auto auction. She runs and drives. She will be taking part in a Gambler 500. A GPS coordinate style scavenger-hunt/off road rally in late August in the scenery of rural Iowa. This is a budget focused  event, so i am looking for low cost items.

There will be 2 days of camping. Which means, I need a tent. Unfortunately, My junk yard darling did not come with one. If you have a tent that you are willing to part with, please let me know.

If you have any off road equipment to an Aztek that you wanna pitch me, go ahead.

If you have something silly that you think I should race with on the Aztek, let me know.

I will start a page building thread on this site to go over the work being done and her progress on the trail later this year.

Great minds think alike. I just finished the Oregon Gambler 500 in a 2001 Aztek, Montezuma's Revenge. I haven't figured out how to post photos on this site yet but maybe I will later. Mine has the tent and mattress but is FWD, which made the trip more interesting. I did figure out that the absolute biggest tire you can fit on an Aztek with a 42mm offset Pontiac Fiero 16" wheel is a 235/70r16, and you have about a mm of space between the tire and the shock tower.  Shocked
