hey guys
Id like this to get pinned up or placed for everyones reference One of the common problems with the vous and Tek is the window regulator clips break. the dealers say you have to replace the whole unit at 160 bucks and not just the broken piece. the part numbers of the clips are: Clip - 15286776 Clip - 15286777 there are two clips per window a left and a right side. the dealer price i found was 26 dollars each. you can get them online for 15 but they usually charge a minimum 10 dollar shipping charge which brings it to 25 so watch the shipping charge. my buick dealer didnt have these in stock but the chevrolet had plenty so i assume these cover a wider range than jsut buick and pontiac. hope this helps

I just ordered new clips from GM and the part numbers have changed. The new parts numbers are: #15938039 and #15938040. Do ya think they changed them to keep us confused?

Thanks for bringing that to our attention. I have not had this problem, hopefully never will ...

The price for those clips is through the roof now. rockauto had new regulators with motors for about $15 more.

The driver's side window on my Aztek fell out. The problem was that the plastic clips slipped over the end of the metal glass clamper (whatever it is called) had broken. I found the following at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/RegulatorFix-Pontiac-Window-Regulator-Repair/dp/B00GEC2EYII ordered on Wednesday evening, paid for expedited shipping to arrive no later than Monday (A little under $23.00 all-in.) and they arrived at my house two days later on Friday. I'm not an engineer, but the plastic appears to me to be equal to or of higher quality than the OEM pieces they replaced. No instructions, but pretty straight-forward to figure out how to install. I don't know the official instructions on replacement, but I found it much easier to mount the clamps/ regulators on the cables, then drop the window in and clamp it to the regulators in place. Chris

How did you remove the original clips?

Are the original clips secured to the window glass with an adhesive?

Sorry, man. I stop following up on my posts after a couple of weeks until the next issue arises.
If I recall, the plastic clips fit into a metal holder which is held by a screw against the glass. Wasn't a problem to remove the clips, they slip over the cable on one side and are cradled by the metal holder on the other.

Finally was able to register for this site after close to a year with the CAPITA not working.
Just had my GFs window regulator plastic clips break on the drivers window. Ordered a set of these and excited to not have to pay $85 for a whole assembly! Everything else was fine with it, just the clips.
