I didn't know what anyone was talking about until I saw the pics. I have to go out and look now, because I never noticed that piece. I have not had the locking issues others have complained about, except the normal locking when the brakes are applied.

I just went to look. Yep, my passenger belt has it too, but I have been a passenger many times when hubby drives and have never had the locking problem.

Well maybe that is why my wife has not been complaining, might have been "sticking" when we got her being it wasn't used much by the previous owner.
