I am an original Aztek owner, purchased my Aztek in March 2001.  It now has 92000 miles and going strong.  I would like to add the HUD to my Aztek.  I searched the forum and found several threads that talked around the topic, but nothing definitive that I could locate or any indication that anyone had actually undertaken this mod. 

If someone could point me to a thread with specific how-to instructions, or if anyone has successfully installed the HUD unit in an original non-HUD Aztek and can share the experience, I would be appreciative.  Thanks in advance.

Dash, no, speedometer bezel, and windshield bezel, yes.

I'm not sure this would be fully possible. They do sell aftermarket HUDs that you could use.

I doubt it, my friend added an Aztek HUD to his 1998 Grand Prix because he liked that it is the only Pontiac HUD to light up red and the car did not have HUD originally, the image was just fine. We've added HUD to cars that didn't come with it from the factory before. From what I researched (I did do some as if I didn't get an Aztek with HUD, it was getting added, I miss it), the HUD windshields are no different, they are just checked on the line for the image. Worse case scenario is there would be a slight ghost image.
