Title: Wheel bearing torque specifications?
Post by: Citrus on April 04, 2015, 09:05:15 PM
Hi,

I'm gearing up to change the front wheel bearings on my 2004 Aztek Rally AWD. Does anyone have the torque specifications?  The following would be a great help:
 -Axle nut
 -Bearing nuts
 -Caliper bracket
 -Caliper

Also, what size is the axle nut? From looking around it appears to be 34mm but I've also seen 33mm and 1-5/16 (they're all pretty close in size).

Thanks!

Axle nut is a 33mm...if you don't have an impact, break it free with wheels on the ground.  These are specs for an AWD.

Axle nut: 118 ft/lb
wheel bearing hub bolts:  96 ft/lb
Caliper Bracket: 136 ft/lb
Caliper: 26 ft/lb
