Hi All,
Got about 1000 miles on my Tek.  It's an AWD and at speeds over 70, I pick up a vibration that I can feel through the steering wheel.

Now apart from staying below 70 so I don't get it, I was wondering if there is anything in the AWD other than the tires/wheels that has caused a vibration  problem.  I will have the dealer check the wheel balance but more than likely, they'll tell me there hasn't been any other problems.

It would be nice to tell the service person that others have reported (name the part here) has caused vibrations in their AWD.

Would like to pick your brains before I visit them.

Also, one of the headlight seals is bad and there has been a lot of moisture in the headlight.  The dealer just got a replacement in for it.  Is that another common problem and does it re-occur?

Thanks in advance,

I've heard of the headlight problem before but it doesn't seem to be a common one. Someone may have installed a seal wrong.

As for the vibration it sounds like it could be a balance problem although the balance machines don't balance at that high of speed. I don't know of anything else it could be.

Ours have a bit of harmonic vibrations that come and go, but only while on winter rubber (Both the AWD and FWD). Haven't noticed anything on stock affinitys

I have heard of some moisture in the lenses before, mainly in the headlights. Could be from someone replacing the headlight bulb and not fitting the rubber seal on tight also.. I myself have had some moisture in my tailght last summer too. But not in my headlights yet.  Wink

I have no vibration problems, but I do get water and suds in my headlights when I wash the Tek. I make sure to rinse them thoroughly.

I asked about that problem here and I am told it is common. I have never had my headlights out.

No leaks in headlights or tailights yet.
