Okay - posted a while back and now I just need some Aztek Experts to help!  I have had my parking brake checked out and the mechanic changed the pads and it still isn't working and even he is confused!  It stops rolling back, but it will not stop rolling forward when engaged.  He said that it looks like some kind of "clip" is missing and that may be the problem -

I just need some help - I have to get my car inspected and it will be a no go if I can't get this fixed.

Please help!

Hhmm, If you have the AWD version (disk all the way around) the parking brake is actually a little mini drum type brake if my understanding is correct. This would require something other then normal 'pad' replacement for disk brakes. There may also be an adjustment for cable.
