I need to know how to get the ignition key cylinder out of an 03 tek im stuck!!!!!!!!

disconnect the battey, first remove the tilt lever, then the shroud, insert a small awl into the access hole of the cylinder and rotate it until it releases (usually at run position) check the cylinder, has the bar lifted or are the tumblers worn (may need to take it to a locksmith or local dealer) if you know someone at the dealer you may convince them to rebuild it with new tumblers, springs and retainer bar (a lot less than replacing the cylinder), reverse the process to reassemble. good luck not that difficult just time consuming, if the cylinder does not turn at all you may need to drill out the cylinder straight down the centre until it turns and releases :mellow:
