2003 Gold FWD Aztek - aka "The Warthog"

« Reply #32 on: May 05, 2014, 09:18:10 AM »

I haven't been back to the site in a while - it kept triggering my anti-virus software whenever I'd access it.

All I can say is WOW!  Tom, it looks great!

I saw mention that you'd "taken it back over" - does this mean that ScubaAztek is no longer taking care of it, or are you both co-administering it?

Hi Bird Dog!

Glad you like the new digs!

Back in January, the site fatally crashed after numerous hack attacks and a lot of fragmented and outdated software. I ended up getting an email from a member who found me through looking up "whois" information on the domain name. (It seems it was never updated after Ken took over the site.) I contacted Ken and made an offer for the domain and after thought, he accepted.

Knowing that I would not have a LOT of time to run the site, I knew I would be able to keep it going with software updates and hopefully have the time to come by and chat with members. I hope that it will start buzzing again with activity the way it used to!

I left Scuba on as a Moderator. I know that he has a LOT going on and doesn't really have the time to Administrate.

Glad you like it! Thanks for checking us out. Hope to see you often!

I love the site!  Not a ton of activity, but it's definitely the best Aztek board I've found!

Glad to see some people are still here! I've been reading the forums for some help since i got my 2002 FWD Aztek in April. Have already put new engine in it. Still have some kinks to work out but love this vehicle already! Have a few plans for it. I was disappointed to find out there was no general repair manual for it like Chiltons or Haynes. I see dealer shopbooks on sale, but rather expensive. Would one of the Aztek's corporate cousins have a book that is useful for us?

You might be able to get some info from a Pontiac Montana book. Ask your local GM dealer if they have a leftover shop manual. That's howoI got the shop manual for my Olds Intrigue. The Chevy dealer gave me their copy for free. Good luck and welcome!

I've popped in an out a few times, but it always seemed like things were on their last legs....
If people are going use the site, I'll stop in more.

My only comment on the new look...... Did it have to be yellow? It's the one tek color I hate...... j/k

So glad you brought it back from the dead, Tom.  I love my Tek and plan to keep it as long as this site is here for us.  FYI I bought a 2set manual off of ebay for 80 bucks.  It was for and 01, and I have an 03....it really doesn't matter as they weren't changed the 6 years they were around.
