Quick question...has anyone here installed an aftermarket High Output Alternator?

I was just curious if Azteks require a certain size or model. I'm not talking about AMPs...I'm talking about how it mounts to the engine block and fits in with the belts.

Basically...are alternators like air filters...like...do you have to find a certain size to get it to mount correctly?

thanks in advance,

Alternator mounts are not all the same therefore it would require the 'correct' one.
Im not sure how a high output alternator would react with all the computer/electronics in new cars these days.
But say you wanted to put one in a 69 Firebird, no problem.

Isn't there a high output alternator that comes with the towing package?  If so, you should be able to substitute that one.
