Today, I had a message in my driver information center on my 2001 Aztek that the parking lamps were out.  Sure enough, neither of the front parking lamps were on, although the front turn signals work fine.  I also checked, and the tail lights were also not on, although the brake lights and rear turn signals also work fine.  The license plate bulb is also not on.  For my tail lights / brake lights, I have been using Sweeplite boards with no issues at all for the past 4 years (http://sweeplite.com/AboutSweeplite.html (to eliminate the hyperblink I have been using the load resistors).

I replaced the two parking lamps in the front with new bulbs, but no change.  Just to see if it was a problem with the Sweeplite boards, I also placed normal bulbs back in the tail lights, but still no change (no parking lights, tail lights, or license plate light, but turn signals front and rear, and brake lights, work fine).

Any thoughts as to what is going on?  Thanks in advance.

With that many lights not working it sounds more like a wiring/fuseable link/fuse issue. IIRC they all work on a common circuit, perhaps part of the wiring harness got rubbed through on the insulation and shorted out.

BTW- those Sweeplights look really interesting- never heard of them before. I just used static LEDs from SuperBrightLEDs.com for mine.

The parking lights and tail lights use a different circuit than the turn and brake lights.

Check your fuses.

Fuses were OK; it turned out to be a relay.
