Hey mom2niltac - I'm way late seeing this, but welcome to the club. I got my '03 Tek in 2009, and she quickly became my favourite vehicle that I have ever owned. Unfortunately, I had to give her up last July, just too much needed repairing to make sense - tranny needed a rebuild, AC was shot, had a control arm issue, and a couple of other things, but the AC and the tranny sealed the deal. Now driving an '09 Santa Fe, but miss my Aztek every day. Wishing you many more years with your baby, glad you found your way to the AFC - lots of great info and great people here!
We bought our 2005, who we call Baby, 2/28/05. We have put 145,000 miles on her and hope to put many more on her. Had we known that it would be the last year and how few were made, back then, we would have found a way to buy a 2nd one.
Purely by accident, I came upon this site and I really wish I would have 10 years ago!
There were several Aztek groups on Yahoogroups, but they are just porn now and were by the time I joined.
If there is anyone still out there who drives a 2005, especially, I hope to see some replies.
If anyone has any sort of meet up or rally in the west, would love to know. I live in SoCal.
Was mad when Pontiac chose to discontinue the Aztek line, but was even more mad when Pontiac was gone. We love Pontiacs. Husband drove a Pontiac "muscle car" when we met (nearly 40 years ago now), which we had to give up when we got married and had a baby within 1 1/2 years of that.
