I'm curious if anyone else is having a delay loading pages lately?  It seems like it since the shout box was added you click a page it loads the top half then you have to wait bout 5-10 second before the bottom finishes loading. or maybe someone knows what may be wrong with my 'computer.  Otherwise the shout box is a nice feature and fun as well

Mine is doing the same Jeff.  I like the feature but is it worth the delay if it is the real cause of the slowdown?

I am not experiencing any lag at all.

But if it is a problem I'll remove it

Mine loads fine. No lagging at all. Maybe you guys need some updates done. I really like the shout box. Hopefully we can figure out what is up so it doesn't have to go away.

I've always experienced that kind of delayed page load (way before the shout box)... the header comes right in, then the body comes 10-15 seconds later. I just figured it was a quirk of the board software or the server.

I am doing a bit of research,

Those that are having problems please answer the following questions

1.  Which OS are you using
2.  Which Internet browser are you using

Thanks this will help me troubleshoot the issues

I have reactivated the Shout box.  I heave searched the forums and I cannot find any other instance of it laggin other sites.

If you are having a problem,  Please post here if you have not already.

For those that have already posted their OS and Browser,  what type of interney connection do you have?  If you use multiple computers does it lag on all?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am just trying to get ti operate smoothly so we can keep it

Ken,

loading is back to being slow for me.  It took about 45 seconds from the time I entered my screenname and password to the time I saw the welcome screen.  Into the other tabs was still taking about 15 seconds for me to see the content.

I am using a cable modem, which has been power cycled to check my connection and all is fine there.  There is only one computer hooked up to my internet connection.
