I had no takers at the big rally so I'll try again at the mini. The tires and wheels pictured below are for sale, $250 for the whole shootin' match. These came off of my '01 Tek and only have about 24,000 miles on them. If anybody is interested I'll pack 'em along.

So far everything is going great, the camping is arranged and breakfast and dinner are too and the parade is set, working on getting shirts arranged, price to be determinded later on. A few little odds and ends cleared up and working on things for a raffle idea. If you have any ideas let me know. Thanks

Sorry Char, I posted them several weeks before the IAR with no response so I didn't even bother to bring them or even make mention of them that weekend. Guess you'll have to gas up Tater and head south again for the Mini.

Can we get a sneak peek of the t-shirt design? And will everything pretty much follow the IAR format of meals, car washes, parade, campfires, beer etc.? BTW I got approved for a half day on Friday so I should be able to get there early to mid afternoon.

Title: Re: Mini Rally Ohio

Yeah most of it follows the IAR. I am still working on the design for the shirt right now not quite right yet.

When you arrive at the campgrounds you can pay me for the camping and then I will pay them all at once. You can pay for your shirt(s) at that time too, I dont have the price for it yet I am still working on them at this time. Would everyone please send me a personal message here of the size(s) that they need so I can get them the correct size and how many they need so I can turn it in to the person doing them.

LOL Dice c'mon man I didn't ask you ....yet.... LOL nah was just curious

Jack did they come off an AWD 01 tek?

are you looking to sell just the rims or are you looking at tires also and can you get me an aproximate weight i'll see what it costs to ship these here ;)

Title: Re: Mini Rally Ohio
Post by: diceallion on August 22, 2007, 05:42:50 AM
I know for Brian's 18's that I got it would have costed about $300 for shipping with FedEx on my disount regular price is around $750.  Now these might weigh a little less so when the dimensions come in with weight from Jack, I'll check it out for you as well.  Jack if you can please give me a idea of Box dimension you can pack each one into.

Ron, it could get real pricy...  Even if you guys ship with regular post.  My buddy last year bought a single tire from the states and the border charged an extra $60 just for entry.

Just rims and hubcaps, i removed them within days of buying my 01. I'll check on size and weight when I have a chance.

Jack

Seeing that it is just rims, you can simply wrap them them in bubble wrap or industriel ceran wrap.

Be great to see you again Ken. And don't forget that I have those 16" alloys with good tires for sale as well. Not sure if they'll cross over to an AWD Tek or not, Tek Sgt is FWD.

Coicidentially today.  I delivered 4 beautifull AXIS 19" rims for a Supra, the guy paid 1600$ for the set from the US and all he had to pay in duty fees were 30.42$.  I do not know how much the shipping charges were.

Bad news Char. After having those tires and rims in my garage for 3 years, I got tired of looking at them and threw them away. NOT! But unfortunately, someone did come by and bought them from me on Tuesday. If only you'd said something a couple of days sooner, I'd much rather have sold them to you than the sleazy used car salesman who bought them. Sorry!

Things that I learned at the 2007 Mini Ohio Rally.

1 ) Great fun can be had with a small group
2 ) Camping in the rain is more fun than you might think
3 ) Nearly anything battered and deep fried is good
4 ) People over 40 can do stupid stuff too
5 ) Ropes may not be a strong as you might think they are
6 ) Watching certain people pick up candy thrown from a parade vehicle is AWESOME
7 ) Locked gates don't make it impossible to get in
8 ) Hydrogen gas IS in fact combustible
9 ) The AFC is full of truely good people
10 ) I'm pretty darned creative when I'm bored waiting for others to arrive

Those have been going through my mind Dice. I actually just saw a newer Bonneville I think it was with some totally sick factory wheels. I'd guess either 17" or 18" aluminum rim with a gun metal cross over spoke design. For OEM they were really nice.

Of course once I patent this shifter mod that only Ken, Dee, Joe and I know about, the ol' Sarge might start strutting his stuff on some Foose wheels.
