Here's some Birthday wishes to another 2007 IAR attendee.

Dave, we wish you could have stayed longer, but it was great meeting you.

I know I'm a bit late with the birthday thank you's!  About 8.5 years to be exact. But, I'm still driving the Aztek at 110,000 miles.  A lot has gone down since the 07 rally.  Sold the boat too.
Sad to report my dear wife Dee passed away in December of 2012.  I'm still a bit in shock, to say the least.
Glad to see the site back and running. I never was very involved in it but did rely on it from time to time. I'll keep poking my nose in periodically to stay up with the thing. I am having a bit of issues with it but it still is basically in great shape. I did have to have the tranny rebuilt and that is all fine with a 3 year/75000 mile warranty! Now if I could just figure out what that creaking/ groaning sound is from the left front at the moment of acceleration from a dead stop. Then it's gone! Any ideas? I haven't seemed to have found the correct answer on the site yet.

I hope all of you are well. I wish the new/father of the club a great run.

Hi Capn. Welcome back to the site. Glad to have you along.

I am sorry to read about your wife. I can't imagine what that must be like.

The creaking and groaning brings a few things to mind. Wheel bearing, Axle Shaft, Ball Joint or loose suspension rivets. I had an S-10 Blazer that would raise cane like that. Part of the suspension was held together with rivets. Over time, they became loose and make popping and creaking sounds... Bushings may be another avenue.

In any case, welcome back to the site. I hope that we get to see a lot more of you here.

Thanks, I'll check it out when I get back. Right now I'm driving my wife's LaCrosse to L.A. to visit her sister and some friends. Got to get away from this damn snow belt for a few months. See you in the spring!
And thanks for the sympathies. It's much appreciated!
