Thanks guys!

I'm sorry about the constant spinning.  It made my poor wife dizzy too.  She gets motion sick watching some of them.  I look forward to shooting some outdoor flight in the sun.  I will post the tek flybys as soon as I get the bugs worked out.  Thanks for you kind words.

I can't wait for the 07 rally!

I hope I am not posting things too off topic.  I have been working on adapting my rc helis for aerial video.  I now have two potential candidates for the task.  The first one is a Blade CX which has been modified beyond recognition.  It is extremely stable and is able to hover in one spot almost effortlessly.  The problem is it will not fly in wind.  The second heli is twice as big and much more powerful.  It is a Blade CP Pro and it is very aerobatic and maneuverable.  I made a mount that holds the video camera below the heli.  The camera will eventually be able to rotate up and down for different angles.  I will test it as soon as the weather shapes up.  My hope is to be able to pan all over the camp grounds filming our beloved Teks from an angle few have seen.  It may also make a good addition having a birds eye video during the group photo. Ken can film from the ground and I from the air.

Here are some pics of my set up helis.  Future videos will be much smoother and clearer.  The uncompressed videos are much higher quality.

Thanks for putting up with my craziness friends..... HAPPY TEKIN!

VERY VERY COOL! Like the pictures! I've WISHED I had an R/C heli for years - they are not a cheap hobby if you really want to get into them. I had a nice R/C 4 wheel drive car once, but jumping off retaining walls was the closest I got to flying (and my landings usually involved some sort of shrapnel and or running ). Guess I'm no Top Gun .

I hope am not getting too off topic with this whole video thing.  I finally got to shoot some outside video.  It is not the best but atleast you can see my yard and beloved Aztek.  I am going to attempt to fly the heli out of my tek and land it back in the vehicle once the weather gets calm.  Wind really knocks my small heli around.  Here is a link to my vids.  The new one is the one at the top.

Take care all!!!!

and here is the link to my main page    http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=91000758&MyToken=88092874-1315-4d0a-af6d-13d588b13637

Snazzie:

Any news on the video you shot with the blade cx during the rally?  I am betting it is going to look incredible!

I'm getting ready to go to HobbyTown USA in the next day or two to get the radio, motor, esc, battery, and charger for my Ultimate FX 3D.  Can you tell me which receiver/servos you are using in your ultimate?  Futaba bundles all different receivers and servos with the 4YF-FM.    Will a 20 amp ESC be enough for the 400 outrunner motor (that's what eflite recomends).

Any help greatly appreciated!

I have a friend who is a video editor.  He is hopefully going toedit the vid to make it top quality.  It will take a while before I get it back though.  I want to have it be DVD quality!
