We just bought a house to restore and turn into a rental property a month ago. It a good size house but the walls were all wood slat and horsehair mud plasterboard. So it was in for a total gutting out and rebuild. That meant that the General was in for a workout going back and forth to the lumberyard. The first time we went for supplies I thought my husband was going to kill my poor tek. There was soo much stuff on that trailer that you couldnt see around it. I even had to reair my tires. Which was caused by a nail in my tire courtesy of Menards back lot.  :banghead: They wouldnt do didly about it though. Every weekend I have been having to make the run with the trailer. The easiest load was the one of insulation , doors and windows. Not to mention the pallet of flooring that fit ever so perfect in the back of the tek. The loader didnt believe me that it would fit in the back of the tek untill he measured it.
I cant wait for this to be finished. Drywall is going up today. The only big thing left to pick up is the countertops and the carpet. Then Ill be able to lock myself in the garage and give my baby a good cleaning. He is so filthy from all of this hauling Im embarassed to be seen in it.

Oh we went to Home depot and got sick and tired of being told ( Oh we dont have that in stock) or ( Thats a special order ). So we went to Menards. The only thing we had to special order was the countertops. Everything else was in stock or on sale. It seems like the home depot around here is specializing in contractors who order their supplies and Menards is more based towards ordinary Joes. Plus at menards we had 3 strong helpers stacking our trailer where at home depot i only saw one scrawny kid helping people load.

And no you wont see us on flip this house. Doing this over and over would drive me insane!!! Im already nuts as it is.
