2007 Aztek Rally Photographer/Organizer

« on: June 23, 2008, 11:55:38 AM »

Greetings all,

I would like to personally thank everyone that attended the Rally and to those that Helped out in the organization for making the Rally a Success,  Even though high gas prices kept some from attending, there was still a respectable turnout.  What we lacked in Quantity this year was more than made up for in Enthusiasm.

There were some that travelled very far in some cases 19-20 hours, 14 hours, 8 hours, and for some it was right in their own backard.  For Jolene and I, it was great to finally meet some of the new members, and to renew friendships made at past Rallies.

I will be posting some pics as soon as I can get them sorted and resized.

Hope that everyone made it home safe and sound.

We are back without incident.  Was great to see everyone (new people and ones we've met before).  As usual we had a great time (other then the little weather sat that dampened things up a bit). I have some pics also that I will put up when I get a chance to fix the home pc (little weather here cooked the modem I think).

I'm back in Texas, safe and sound.  No major problems, but had a blinker go out on me just east of Oklahoma City.  Tongue  Guess I can't complain about that.  This really was one of the most fun vacations I've ever had.  Made for a nice change of pace.

And for those of you who were around the campfire Saturday night....  My mom pulled out a box of Lucky Charms for breakfast Sunday morning and just barely managed to keep a strait face.  Tongue

If you can't fix it yourself, redesign it since it was obviously poorly designed to begin with, otherwise you could fix it yourself.  Right?

Back home safe and sound here as well.  Thanks to all for another enjoyable Rally.  Ladd, my Oak Tek is now sitting on my desk between the monitor and the keyboard, and it sure does look good.

Made it back to northwest MN safe and sound.  Got to go over the Mackinaw Bridge at daybreak with no traffic and calm waters, WOW that was cool.  My friends and I had a great time and were glad to meet all of you.  Two of my friends are now looking at buying a Tek to bring with next year.  Thanks everyone again for a great time.

MNAztek, it never got old crossing the Mackinaw Bridge when I lived in the U.P.  One of my all-time favorite experiences was crossing the Mac on a motorcycle, and looking straight down at the water 100's of feet beneath me while on the center grated section.

Jim and I are back at home and back to work.We had such a great time. We enjoyed meeting all of you and can't wait to do it all over again. The parade was very special to us watching all those kids. I have taken pics while riding in the parade and got the address of one of the judges to send an album from are "inside looking out" view of all those "smiling folks" watching the parade!

Whew what a great time I had especialy the camp fire nights.   Tony the tiger was quoted saying "They're Grrrreat!".  I will leave thoughts about him in the whole cereal picture for later.
I'm glad to hear everyone made it back home alright especaly Alchemist with that long drive back to Texas.  It was great to meet all the new faces at the Rally.
Well I got back home safe and sound arround 9:00 that night dodging all kind of storms on the way.   Get in my room and turn on my comp so I can get on the Fan Club here and it locks up and it was until yesterday I got online.  Buuuummer  Now I have to mow my field er'a yard tomarrow.
