Hi everyone, Just thought some of you might be interested in the weather around Loudonville, Ohio.  Campers in the area had to leave because of flooding problems. Here's the link to the Daily Record newspaper which carried the article today, July 11th. Aren't you glad this isn't the week you were having the Rally???

Wow

Now that thunderstorm we encountered on Thursday doesnt sound bad at all....
I thought it was a little odd that an area like that would be prime for bad flooding.

Glad we didnt get caught up in that!!

I had spoken with Kent from Loudon Auto Parts on Monday and Jerrilynn from the Loudonville Convention and Visitors Bureau just a little while ago and the had told me that this is the worst in about 15 years that the area has seen.  Downtown, where we were for the Rally carwash was untouched, but along the river, where Mohican Adventures is, was heavily damaged.  Much of Mohican Adventurers was under 5-6 feet of water, and much of their property was heavily damaged.  Jerrilynn had said that she had about 6 feet of water in her house.  All the homes alond the river were damaged.  Her uncles property had all four of his buildings destroyed.  And as of yesterday one fatality - a person who decided to go canoeing- bad thing to attempt after a flood.

All- keep in your thoughts this small town which helped to welcome the 2006 Aztek Rally to their town with open arms.

Wow, and to think that I was hoping for a lil bit of rain last night.
Dontcha just wish we could send all of that water over to the forest fires. I think someone needs to recalibrate Gods GPS system so he puts the rain where it needs to be. -_-

Hate to say it but the forecast is looking like the 2008 Rally might be a soggy one. Only this year the water will come from the sky not a busted water pipe. I'm envisioning a replay of the Ohio Mini Rally back in September. And I'm bringing plenty of MRE heater packs.
